Obituary: Lawrence “Larry” Marotti of New Haven

Lawrence “Larry” Marotti of New Haven passed away on Sunday October 1, 2023. He was the father of Matthew Marotti of Stamford and David Marotti of Trumbull. He was the brother of Bill Foster of Manchester, CT. He is also survived by his former wife Katherine Marotti of Southport, North Carolina. He was predeceased by his brothers, Kenneth and Nicholas Marotti, and his sister, Kimberly Marotti. Larry was born in Manchester on October 5, 1965, a son of the late Dominick and Carol DiCostanzo Marotti.

He was the owner and operator of Globe Electric in North Branford for 20 years.

Larry's infectious optimism and charisma left a mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him. His compassion and unwavering generosity were defining traits that endeared him to countless hearts. His memory will forever live in our hearts.

A visitation will be held on Friday from 4-7 P.M. at the W.S. Clancy Memorial Funeral Home, 244 North Main St. Branford. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, his family encourages donations to MACC Charities, a Manchester based non-profit dedicated to serving the greater Manchester community.
