Obituary: Martin D. Cusanelli (Porto Funeral Homes)

Martin D. “Marty” Cusanelli, 75, of East Haven passed away on April 26, 2026 at Yale New Haven Hospital St. Raphael Campus. Beloved brother of James (Beth) Cusanelli, uncle of Christopher M. (Heather) Cusanelli and great-uncle of Kareena and Damien Cusanelli all of East Haven. Marty was born on November 11, 1950 son of the late Martin A. “Butch” and Gloria M. Sandagata Cusanelli. Marty is also survived by many loving cousins. Before his retirement, he enjoyed a career as a cook at various restaurants throughout the area.

His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven SATURDAY morning, May 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at St. Vincent de Paul Church at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
