Obituary: Michael Coppola Jr., 38, of New Haven

Michael Coppola Jr., 38, of New Haven passed away July 27th, 2023, at Yale-New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Michael was born January 10th, 1985 to Michael Coppola Sr. and Nancy Tafuto. He worked for many years in construction and landscaping. Michael loved sports, hiking and exploring new adventures and was very kind and generous to his friends and family.

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his fiancée of 17 years Kate Graham, stepfather Michael Tafuto; brothers Nicholas, James and Louis Tafuto; aunts Linda, Jackie, Beverley, Terri (Joe), Gracie (Vinyl), Ellie (Livio) and Joanie (Brad); uncles Jay, Dennis & Jimmy. He is also survived by his nephew Dominic; in-laws Betsy Graham (Brian Sackett), and sister-in-law Hilary Graham (Bryan Randall) and Kate’s extended family. Michael was predeceased by his grandparents Eleanor and Jim Burkle, aunt Penny and uncles Jimmy & Brad.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Michael’s family on SUNDAY August 6th, 2023 from 3:00 – 6:00 PM at East Haven Memorial Funeral Home, 425 Main Street.
