Obituary: Rosemary Acampora, 80, of New Haven

Rosemary Acampora, 80, of New Haven, passed away peacefully March 22, 2023 at Yale- New Haven Hospital. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Lawrence “Larry” Acampora.
Rosemary was born in New Haven to the late Dominic and Dorothy Lee Calabrese on Valentine’s Day 1943.

She grew up in East Haven and worked for many years as a school secretary at St. Vincent de Paul School. She was very involved at St. Vincent, coaching the cheerleading team, and helping at the Youth Center.

Rosemary is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins and her longtime friends Mike Latella and Rosalie DePalma.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Rosemary on SATURDAY April 1st at 10:00AM in St. Vincent de Paul Church (St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish) 80 Taylor Ave, East Haven. Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Rosemary’s memory to St. Vincent de Paul Church.
