Obituary: Steven A. Tarquino, 63, of New Haven

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven A. Tarquino 63, of New Haven on September 14, 2023 at his home.

Steven was a talented welder by trade and self-employed artist, who spent his life crafting metal into intricate and beautiful creations. His dedication to his craft was evident in every personalized piece he created for friends, family, and those around him.

Steven was born in New Haven on February 10, 1960 son of the late Alfred and Gloria Barba Tarquino. He is survived by his loving children Stephen (Kim) Tarquino, Marisa (Stephan) Torquati and Joseph (Joey) LaChat; six grandchildren; his siblings Pamela Mastroianni, Cynthia Carpenter (Keith), Sisto Tarquino (predeceased by Catherine), Gary Tarquino (Alice), Kevin Tarquino (Theodora); several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

His funeral procession will leave the PORTO FUNERAL HOME 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80) East Haven SATURDAY morning September 23, 2023 at 11:30. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish in Our Lady of Pompeii Church at 12:00. Inurnment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Family and friends may call SATURDAY morning from 9:30 to 11:30.
