Obituary: Vincent (Vinny Gigs) Giglietti, 60, of New Haven
Vinny played high school hockey and was an exceptional baseball; softball player. He loved spending time with his family on the holidays.

NEW HAVEN, CT - (From Vincent (Vinny Gigs) Giglietti, 60, of New Haven, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2020 at Yale-New Haven Hospital with his family by his side. Born in New Haven on October 09, 1959, he was the son of Anthony Giglietti Sr. and Loretta Calderoni Giglietti.
He was the father to Angela (Giglietti) O’Connor (Timothy) and Vincent Giglietti Jr. Grandfather of Mercedes and James O’Connor. Brother of Robert Giglietti (Jodi), Anthony Giglietti Jr., Marc (Ann) Giglietti and the late Michael Giglietti. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Vinny was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Boston Red Sox, and the Philadelphia Flyers. He enjoyed his family, especially on holidays. He played high school hockey along with his late brother Mike. Vinny was also an exceptionally good baseball and softball player, known as the deer for being so fast on the field.

The visiting hours will be Friday morning, Aug. 28 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at The Havens Family, North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue (masks and social distancing required). His funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 11:45 a.m.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Elizabeth of the Trinity Parish at St. Barnabas Church, 44 Washington Avenue, North Haven at 12 noon (masks and social distancing required). Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Please omit flowers and make all contributions to the family to help with funeral expenses.
