Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle In New Haven: Police

The pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run Thursday night in New Haven, according to police.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A pedestrian was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday night in New Haven, according to police.

The crash happened around 7:15 p.m. on Columbus Avenue, between Church Street South and Cedar Street.

Police said responding officers found a 30-year-old New Haven man unresponsive in the street. He was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital where he was listed in stable condition, according to police.

The New Haven Police Crash Team found that the vehicle left the scene of the accident, police said.
