Pepe's Pizza To Open 12th Location In Maryland

NEW HAVEN, CT — New Haven legend Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana will be opening a location in Maryland next year, according to WTOP. The restaurant is planned for the Westfield Montgomery Mall.

An official announcement and location will be announced soon with the restaurant opening late next year, WTOP reported.

Pepe Pizzeria was founded in 1925 at 163 Wooster St. by Italian immigrant Frank Pepe. The restaurant currently has 11 locations serving its signature thin-crust pizza. Existing Pepe's locations are in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York.

The coal-fired pizza from Pepe's gets consistently high ranks in national pizza "best of" lists. For the past three years Pepe's has been ranked number 1 on The Daily Meal's 101 Best Pizzas in America list.
