Person Dies After Being Struck By Train Near West Haven Station
A person was hit by a train near the West Haven station Wednesday morning. Trains are being delayed due to the incident.

UPDATE: The person struck by a train early Wednesday morning in West Haven has died, according to NBC Connecticut.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A person was hit by a New York-bound Metro North train on the New Haven Line early Wednesday morning. The 5:40 a.m. train stopped and was canceled due to the accident.
A trespasser got on the tracks and moved in front of the train near the West Haven Train Station, NBC CT reported.

Trains were running 20-30 minutes late due to the incident.
