Person Shot in New Haven

The person walked into the hospital with the wound, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A man was hit by gunfire Monday morning.

The man walked into Yale-New Haven Hospital after being hit in the leg, apparently by someone traveling in a car on Vernon Street, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.

The shooting happened around 8:40 a.m.
