Police Investigating After Norwalk Man, 22, Struck By Gunfire
Just before 12:30 a.m., police heard gunshots near Sergeant Drive, saw a car leaving the area, pulled it over and found a man shot, cops say

NEW HAVEN, CT — While on patrol on Sargent Drive near the Food Terminal Plaza at around 12:30 a.m., a police officer heard gunshots, saw a white Honda leaving the vicinity, and then pulled the car over and found a 22-year-old man from Norwalk struck by gunfire, according to police spokesperson Officer Scott Shumway.
The man was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was listed in stable condition, Shumway said.
Police ask that any witnesses who have not yet spoken with the Police contact the New Haven Police Department Investigative Services Division at 203-946-6304.
