Police Investigating Weekend Car v. Pedestrian Hit-And-Run Crash
Early Saturday night, a 51-year-old New Haven man was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Putnam and Hurlburt streets, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT —Early Saturday night, a 51-year-old New Haven man was struck by a car and the driver left the scene, police said.
It was just after 6 p.m. when, police said, they responded to the intersection of Putnam and Hurlburt streets for a vehicle "crash involving a pedestrian being struck."
Police found the man who'd been hit and he was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

According to New Haven police spokesperson Scott Shumwya, the driver of the vehicle "did not remain on scene."
