Police Investigating Weekend Crown Street Double Shooting: PD

NEW HAVEN, CT — On the overnight hours Saturday, two people were shot on Crown Street, police said. A 26-year-old North Haven man, and a 41-year-old New Haven woman struck by gunfire were listed in stable condition as of Saturday at Yale New Haven Hospital, according to New Haven police spokesperson Scott Shumway.

It was around 1:50 a.m. when police got 911 calls about two people who'd been shot on Crown Street, between Temple and College streets.

Police ask that any witnesses who have not yet spoken with investigators contact the New Haven Police Department Investigative Services Division at 203-946-6304.
