Police Seek Justice For Kenobi, The Dog Abandoned In New Haven

The New Haven Police Department will be applying for a warrant to arrest the person who abandoned Kenobi, according to the local shelter.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police are seeking justice for Kenobi, a husky/sherpard mix found abandoned and malnourished in Edgewood Park earlier this month, according to the Robin I. Kroogman New Haven Animal Shelter.

Kenobi was found tied to a bench in Edgewood Park at the beginning of the month.

"We have been speaking with several sources and have identified the person that abandoned him in the park," the shelter said. "The New Haven Police Department will be applying for a warrant for this individual's arrest."

Meanwhile, Kenobi, who is just over three years old, is "doing great," according to the shelter.

"He has been to the vet and so far so good," they added. "He is eating all his meals, gaining weight, and seems to be in good spirits."
