Pre-Dawn Shooting On Edgewood Avenue Wounds 34-Year-Old Man: PD
New Haven police are investigating after a man was shot at 4:30 a.m. Sunday near Ellsworth Avenue, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 34-year-old New Haven man was shot on Edgewood Avenue in the pre-dawn hours Sunday, police said.
It was around 4:30 a.m., when police were called to a shooting near Ellsworth Avenue, according to police spokesperson Scott Shumway. The man was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, he said.
The Bureau of Identification responded to the scene and collected ballistic evidence. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.
