'Rebuilt' Ferry Street McDonald's Grand Reopening Celebration June 2

NEW HAVEN, CT — The Ferry Street McDonald’s reopens on June 2 with a month of activities, events, deals, giveaways, and school fundraiser nights, the company announced.

To celebrate the rebuilt restaurant, a grand reopening ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Open to the public, the event will showcase the restaurant’s newest features, including an updated drive-thru to improve ordering for customers, and innovative digital ordering kiosks. State Senate President Martin Looney, state Rep. Al Paolillo, and restaurant owner/operator Roger Facey will be at the event.

In addition to activities and freebies, the eatery will also host School Fundraiser Nights. Giveaways include a 50-inch flat screen TV, an “Oculus” virtual reality game console and a mountain bike. Kid activities include face-painting.

• Fair Haven School and All Saints Academy, Thursday, June 9, 5-8 p.m.
• FAME Academy and John S. Martinez School, Thursday, June 16, 5-8 p.m.
