School Employees Placed On Leave After Child Wanders Away
Employees have been placed on leave after a pre-K student wandered away from the school during recess.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Employees have been placed on leave after a pre-kindergarten student wandered away from the playground during recess, NBC Connecticut reported.
The incident happened at Truman School at 10:07 a.m. The student was found shortly thereafter.
Staff members who were supposed to be watching the child have been put on administrative leave, and the state Department of Children and Families has been notified, according to NBC.

The district did not report how many employees have been placed on leave. The incident is under investigation, according to WFSB.
