Sonia M. McGuire, 79, of Milford, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on September 19th 2026.

Sonia was born August 13th 1947, in Tunbridge Wells, England, UK. She immigrated to the U.S.A. with her mother, Eliza, in 1966, settling in Westport, CT. Sonia worked at Pitney Bowes as an Account Receivable Specialist

Sonia is survived by her husband of 47 years, Sean McGuire, and her daughters Tiffany McGuire and Melissa McGuire, also of Milford, CT. Sonia treasured her family and the time they spent together, including shopping, island vacations, music events, and casino adventures. She will be deeply missed by her favorite dog MacBeth who loved her treats the best.

The family wishes to thank Connecticut Hospice of Branford, CT, and all of their staff that took care of Sonia in her final weeks of life. Words can not express the kindness and compassion they showed toward Sonia and her family.

Per Sonia’s wishes services will be private, with a service in England. Her ashes will be buried with her late mother, Eliza Delaney, and the rest of her 6 siblings.
