Southern CT State University Celebrates Homecoming, Family Weekend 2026 With Myriad Events
Activities include family-friendly entertainment, Athletics Hall of Fame festivities, and the Owls football game vs. Monroe University.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Southern Connecticut State University will welcome alumni, students, families, and community members back to campus Oct. 9 to 11 for Homecoming and Family Weekend 2026, with the main Homecoming festivities taking place Saturday.
The weekend will feature a variety of activities celebrating Owl pride, including alumni gatherings, family-friendly entertainment, campus experiences, athletic events, and the Owls football game against Monroe University.

- Tim Quill IV Scoreboard Dedication: On Friday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m., Southern will dedicate the Tim Quill IV Scoreboard at Hutchinson Natatorium in memory of longtime swimming and diving coach Tim Quill, who passed away earlier this year. Quill led Southern’s swimming and diving program for 27 seasons, leaving a lasting impact on generations of student-athletes and the university community.
- Athletics Hall of Fame festivities: Southern will celebrate the accomplishments and lasting contributions of distinguished members of the Owls athletics community.
- Alumni games and gatherings bringing former Owls back to campus throughout the weekend.
- Homecoming festivities on Saturday, Oct. 10, featuring local food, family-friendly entertainment, alumni activities, and opportunities for the Southern community to reconnect.
- Homecoming football game: The Owls will take on Monroe University at Jess Dow Field, with kickoff at 2 p.m.
