State Police Investigating After Motorcycle Crash Kills Man, 20: PD

A Guilford man was driving his motorcycle on the Rt. 34 on-ramp to I-95N Monday at 2:30 p.m., when it struck a guardrail, state police say.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 20-year-old Guilford man was killed when his motorcycle struck a guardrail as it traveled on the connector to I-95 N Tuesday, according to a state police report.

Mohammad Kareem Halabi was driving on the Route 34 connector when the motorcycle left the roadway and struck the metal beam guardrail, a Connecticut State Police report reads.

Halabi was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital where he died from his injuries.

He was a 2020 Guilford High School graduate and a student at Gateway Community College.
