14-Year-Old Targeted In New Haven Shooting: PD

The teen was last reported to be in critical condition.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police are investigating after a 14-year-old boy was shot in New Haven. Police responded to Bassett Street near Newhall Street July 16 around 9:30 p.m.

The victim was last reported to be in critical condition Monday afternoon.

The shooter was a passenger in a white sedan, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman. The shooter wore a white shirt, jeans "Jordan" sneakers and a black face mask.
