Teen Stabbed In New Haven, Suspect Sought: PD
A teen was stabbed through the hand, police said.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 19-year-old Hamden man told police that a woman who appeared to be high on drugs stabbed him through the hand, according to police.
The victim told police he was riding his bicycle on Smith Avenue July 4 before 12:50 a.m. when he slowed down to change gears ,said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.
A woman on the side of the road asked if he was "good" and then ran at him with a kitchen knife. The woman pulled the knife out of the victim's hand and ran away.

During the attack she told the victim her first name in case the police came looking for her, Hartman said. Police searched for the woman, but had no luck finding her. She is described by police as a short and heavy-set black woman with short hair pulled back into a ponytail.
The victim's wound wasn't life-threatening.
