Two Killed in Wrong Way Route 15 Crash Monday in New Haven

The accident remains under investigation as State Police work to determine why someone was driving the wrong way on Route 15.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Two people were killed in a wrong way crash near exit 59 on Route 15 early Monday.

A vehicle was traveling in the left lane on Route 15 southbound near exit 59 when another vehicle traveling the wrong way collided with it in a head-on crash, State Police said.

Erica Farland, 27, of Ossining, New York was the driver of the vehicle that was traveling in the wrong direction, police said. Both she and the other vehicle operator Andrea Rossi, 53, of Long Island City, New York were transported to the hospital, but later succumbed to their injuries.
