Two Teens, 15 And 16, Shot Monday In Hill Neighborhood: Police

The teenage boys were shot on Lamberton Street Monday at 2:30 p.m. and, police said, both are hospitalized in stable condition.

NEW HAVEN, CT —Monday afternoon, two teenage boys, 15 and 16, were shot in the Hill, police said.

Just before 2:30 p.m., police officers were "approached by a concerned citizen reporting a person shot" on Lamberton Street, between Button and Arthur Streets, according to New Haven police spokesperson officer Scott Shumway.

When police got there they found that two people had been struck by gunfire, he said. Taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, Shumway said as of late Monday, both were listed in stable condition.
