'Vicious Dog' Definition Considered in New Haven

The Board of Alders is considering what qualifies as a vicious dog.

The Public Safety Committee recommended seven items within New Britain's ordinances to be similarly adopted, including defining a "vicious" dog or other animal and what provisions would become necessary once an animal bites someone without provocation, according to the New Haven Register.

There are no suggestions against banning certain breeds of dogs because that is banned under state law.
