Video Shows Car Had Green Light In Dirt Bike Crash
A high-ranking New Haven police officer is calling for 10-year suspensions of dirt bike riders' licenses following the wreck.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A video recently released of a dirt bike vs. car crash shows the car clearly had a green light when the collision occurred, The New Haven Independent reported. The May 30 crash was at the intersection of High and Chapel streets.
Dirt bike driver Christian Marrero, 17, and his passenger survived the crash despite being launched into the air on impact. Police plan to charge Marrero on multiple misdemeanor accounts.
The incident has spurred a high-ranking police officer to demand 10-year suspensions of illegal dirt bike riders' licenses.
