Volunteer Tutors are a vital part of New Haven Reads! Tutors provide one-on-one literacy tutoring for students age 6-18; primarily in reading.
We provide all the materials and training you need! Volunteer as little as one hour a week and help us spread our mission of sharing the joy and power of reading.
Our regular session has begun, however we still need more tutors!
About New Haven Reads:
New Haven Reads provides one-on-one tutoring for children who are struggling with reading. We also offer a kindergarten and pre-k program, SAT prep, and special clubs during the summer. Currently, we are working with just under 600 students each week in four locations. We also provide free, gently used books to the public, teachers, and organizations.
