Walls Collapse At New Haven Building Under Construction

Inner wooden walls collapsed after strong wind gusts blew through the area.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Strong wind gusts Wednesday evening knocked down wooden inner walls at the future site of the Audubon Square site on Audubon Street.

No one was hurt and a metal fence kept most of the debris from hitting the sidewalk, according to the New Haven Independent.

The city issued a stop work order at the future site of 269 apartments. City officials and representatives of Spinnaker Real Estate were scheduled to meet.
