The venue has hosted a multitude of weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, showers, holiday celebrations, corporate events and more over the years.

It has been in the Amarante family for more than six decades.

Andy “Sonny” Amarante purchased the Sea Cliff in 1962, after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, with a goal of creating a place where people could gather to “celebrate life’s greatest milestones,” according to the business’ website.

The site’s history dates back more than a century. In its early years, guests went there to enjoy dinner and dancing along the Sound. During Prohibition, the Inn was home to a hidden speakeasy, according to the business’ website.

The two-acre property includes multiple buildings tailored for events and banquets. According to the listing, it was constructed in 1900 and renovated in 2004.

There is a 6,221-square-foot main building with full banquet space known as the Inn. There is also a 6,105-square-foot adjacent building, “the Ballroom,” which can host large events. A third building, known as “the Shanty,” has a fully-equipped commercial kitchen, according to the listing description.

The property features a patio overlooking the water, landscaped grounds, a waterfront pergola, and parking.

The business already has events booked through 2027, meaning a potential buyer would have future revenue in place, according to the listing.
