West Hartford Man, 29, Shot, Killed In New Haven Monday: Police

Evan Howard was shot at 11:30 p.m., on Kensington Street, between Chapel Street and Edgewood Avenue, and died from his injuries, police say.

NEW HAVEN, CT — A 29-year-old West Hartford man was shot and killed late Monday night in New Haven, police said.

Evan Howard was shot at 11:30 p.m., on Kensington Street, between Chapel Street and Edgewood Avenue, police spokesperson Scott Shumway said. Taken to the hospital, Howard succumbed to his injuries.

The Bureau of Identification responded to the scene and collected ballistic evidence. Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.
