West Haven Man, 22, Was Shot In New Haven Saturday: Police

New Haven police are investigating the Blatchley Avenue shooting that left that man with gunshot wounds, according to a spokesperson.

NEW HAVEN, CT —A 22-year-old West Haven man is in stable condition after being shot in New Haven Saturday, police said.

New Haven police got a call in the late afternoon about a person who'd been shot on Blatchley Avenue between Saltonstall Avenue and River Street, according to police spokesperson Scott Shumway.

Suffering from gunshot wounds, the man was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, Shumway said.

The New Haven police Major Crimes Unit are leading the investigation.

Police ask that any witnesses who have not yet spoken with tinvestigators contact the New Haven Police Department Investigative Services Division at 203-946-6304.
