West Haven Woman Was Strangled To Death: New Haven PD

A West Haven woman was found unresponsive in a New Haven driveway in June. The medical examiner's office determined she was strangled.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police have identified a woman who was found dead on Arthur Street in June as Nancy Rivas, 33, of West Haven. The state Office of the Chief Medical Examiner recently determined that she was strangled to death. Police are investigating the death as a homicide.

Rivas was found unresponsive in a residential driveway June 12. Medical first responders attempted to revive her, but were unsuccessful. She was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. Detectives have been investigating her death as suspicious.
