NEW HAVEN, CT- A woman apparently had no interest in helping officers figure out why she was missing part of her thumb.

Police were dispatched to Warren Street April 5 around 11:20 p.m. after someone reported that a woman's thumb was bitten off, said Officer David Hartman, police spokesman.

They encountered a 44-year-old woman who was missing the tip of her left thumb. She appeared intoxicated and refused to cooperate with officers, Hartman said.
