Woman, 42, Killed In Whalley Ave. Car Versus Pedestrian Crash: Police
The driver, who called 911, told authorities that he didn't see the "pedestrian in the roadway, but felt the impact," according to police.

NEW HAVEN, CT —Monday night, a pedestrian was struck and killed on Whalley Avenue near Hudson Street, police said.
The victim has been identified as Judith Williams, 42, of New Haven, police said.
It was just after 6 p.m., when a motorist called 911 to report he'd "struck a female in the roadway," New Haven police spokesperson Capt. Rose Dell said. She was found in the street by police and EMTs "unconscious and suffering from significant injuries," Dell said. Rushed to Yale New Haven Hospital, she was pronounced dead, according to police.

The New Haven Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating, a probe she said will "take some time." Dell said several witness statements will be "scrutinized" and police are looking for video surveillance that may have captured the crash."
