Yale Professor Considered for Trump Position: Report

Professor David Gelernter, a pioneer in the field of parallel computation is being considered for a science advisor position.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Yale University Professor David Gelernter is being considered for a science advisor position in the Donald Trump administration.

Gelernter came out as a supporter of Trump in a Fox News interview last ear, according to Fox 61.

Gelernter met with Trump Tuesday, according to the Washington Post. He is a computer scientist who helped pioneer parallel computation and created the Linda programming language that allowed small computers to be linked together into a super computer.

He was injured by a letter bomb sent by Unabomber Ted Kaczynski in 1993.

Gelernter is a critic of modern academics and wrote a 2013 book that criticized intellectualism for the leading to a decline in family values.
