Yale Students, Others Targeted In Paintball Shootings

Police said that some of the paintball shooting incidents are related.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Police have confiscated nine paintball guns and made arrests in recent shootings, according to FOX 61. At least seven Yale students were targeted in the paintball shootings.

Officers in an unmarked car earlier this month spotted two men carrying paintball guns. When they slowed down, the men began firing at the car and hit it several times, FOX 61 reported.

Police arrested Christian Calcano, 20, and Jean Calcano-Quinones, 23. They are both facing charges including assault of a police officer and two counts of reckless endangerment.

Police said that some of the paintball incidents are related and that it's become a popular form of mischief among teens.
