Yale Worker Cars Continue Street Parking Shortage

Some residents are being boxed out of street parking near their residences.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Some residents are still contending with Yale University workers for coveted on-street parking spots in their neighborhoods.

Some workers park their cars in sections of streets that aren't restricted just to residents, according to the New Haven Register. Others manage to get residential permits despite not living in the city

City transportation, traffic and parking director Doug Hausladen said the city is exploring options and will get equipment that will better enforce residential parking.
