Yeshiva Of New Haven Under Investigation

DCF is investigating whether a boarding operation is taking place. The rabbi who started the school was charged with sexual assault.

NEW HAVEN, CT — The Yeshiva of New Haven is under investigation by state authorities for possibly running a boarding school without proper clearances.

An attorney for the Yeshiva told The Department of Children and Families that no one under 18-year-sold except for one family member lives at the site, according to the New Haven Independent.

The Yesthiva's five-year authorization to run a day school expired in 2006.

Rabbi Daniel Greer who ran the school was recently charged with sexual assault after a former student came forward with allegations. A jury awarded former student Eliyahu Mirlis with a $20 million civil judgement.
