NEWINGTON, CT — Recent death notices from Newington.

David Tedeschi Jr., 78, died Aug. 30, 2026. A University of Miami graduate who began his career as a journalist at the Miami Herald, he later worked as a communications officer for Newington Children's Hospital and retired from the state Department of Banking. He was active with the Newington Rotary and St. Mary Church. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, a daughter, a son and a brother.

Robert L. Levesque, 88, died Aug. 28, 2026. A U.S. Air Force veteran who served as a crew chief with the Strategic Air Command, he worked as an area superintendent at Pratt & Whitney for many years before retiring in 1993 and made Newington his home for more than 54 years. He is survived by a son and a daughter.

Ruth Esther (Turnrose) Fuchs, 96, died Aug. 10, 2026. She worked as a lab technician at New Britain General Hospital.

Gail R. (Kargman) Sohn, 83, died Aug. 7, 2026. A 1960 graduate of Weaver High School, she served as regional president of Women's American ORT and was a longtime member of Temple Sinai. She is survived by her daughter, Gerrilyn Sohn, and a sister.

Carol Ann Young, 80, died Aug. 6, 2026. A graduate of Central Connecticut State University, she built and managed teams in the retail business. She is survived by two sisters and a brother.
