Bullet Strikes Child's Bed In Newington Shooting: Police

A bullet struck a child's bed frame late Wednesday night.

NEWINGTON, CT — Police are investigating after a bullet struck the bed of a 9-year-old child, according to a statement. Police received the call 11 p.m. Wednesday regarding a shooting on John Street in Newington.

A preliminary investigation found that a bullet was shot into a home. The bullet entered the bedroom of a 9-year-old child and traveled through the bed frame.

There were no injuries reported.
