On Campus - Newington College Students

Bryant University, Smithfield RI

• Bryant University extends congratulations to the Newington students who have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester: Ryan DeBlasio, class of 2019; Connor Ericson, class of 2018; Christian Junquera, class of 2018; Richard Junquera, class of 2020; Anthony Kulowski, class of 2019; and James Tyrrell, class of 2018.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• The Economics Department at Eastern Connecticut State University inducted 15 students into the Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) international economics honor society this April. Among the inductees was Bradley Mitchel of Newington, who majors in Economics. ODE is dedicated to excellence in the field of economics, and seeks to recognize those individuals who have distinguished themselves in their academic programs. Students eligible for induction must have a 3.25 GPA overall and at least 15 credits worth of economics classes.
• The Communication Department at Eastern Connecticut State University held its annual Celebration of Excellence on April 19. During the event, students were inducted into the communication honor society, Lambda Pi Eta, and awards were given for excellence in different areas of the communication field. Among the inductees and award winners was Kimberly Tallard of Newington. Tallard was inducted into the honor society, and was also selected to receive an award for Excellence in Research.

Nichols College, Dudley MA

• Nichols College honored a number of students with academic awards, certifications, and scholarships for outstanding performance in their respective fields of study and programs of interest on April 17, 2018. The seniors will graduate at the College's May 5 Commencement at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass. Among them are McKayla Pratte of Newington, junior accounting and finance major, Academic Tutor Level 1 certification.
