Bard College at Simon's Rock, Great Barrington MA

• Hadassah Riemer from Newington, a sophomore at Bard College at Simon's Rock, participated in the College's 2017 Fall Dance Festival. Students and faculty in the Simon's Rock dance program presented their work to the community in a vibrant celebration of dance. Two programs showcased a total of 24 dance pieces and featured 45 students in performances created by two faculty and 20 student choreographers.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University was one of only two institutions in the country to have its men's and women's soccer programs qualify for a 2017 United Soccer Coaches (USC) Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award. Among the students who played for the soccer program during the fall 2017 season was Madison Lewicki of Newington, who played back/midfield. Lewicki majors in Exploratory STEM.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• Stasha Greenalch of the basketball team has been tabbed as the WPI Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, December 31. Greenalch averaged 9.5 points 4.3 rebounds, 8.75 assists and 3.25 steals in the four games since finals. She posted a season-best 15 points to go with six assists and six steals versus Wells in the Daytona Beach Shootout opener.
