Dean College, Franklin MA

• Dean College is pleased to announce that Marisa Mastrio of Newington has earned a place on the Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester.

Lasell College, Newton MA

• Lasell College recently named Katelyn Dombrowski of Newington to the Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. Dombrowski, whose major is Accounting, is a member of the class of 2017. To achieve the academic honor of being named to the Dean's List, a student must be full-time carrying 12 or more graded credits for the semester with a grade point average of 3.5 or above.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

• Eight Newington residents were among the approximately 1,000 graduates who received their degrees at the University of Hartford's Undergraduate Commencement on Sunday, May 21. Matthew Gajowiak, an accounting major in the University's Barney School of Business, received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; Brian Huynh, a health science major (physical therapy) in the University's College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions, received a Bachelor of Science; Aloki Patel, a nursing major in the University's College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions, received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Maria Laufer, a nursing major in the University's College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions, received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Melissa Brown, a radiologic technology major in the University's College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions, received a Bachelor of Science; David Kusinski, an illustration major in the University's Hartford Art School, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts; Jorge Pinho, an illustration major in the University's Hartford Art School, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts; and Freddie Morris, a student in the University Studies program in the University's University Studies program, received a Bachelor of Arts.
