College Achievements For Newington Students

Tunxis Community College, Farmington CT

• Over 80 Tunxis students received awards and scholarships at the 35th Annual “Student Achievement Recognition Ceremony,” held this spring at Tunxis Community College. Close to 80 scholarships and $86,765 in scholarship funds was awarded. Recipients from Newington were Kelli Palardy (American Way Veterans Scholarship and Clinton S. Roberts Foundation Scholarship); Samantha Nunes (Hartford Foundation for Public Giving Scholarship); and Crestina Walker (Business Office Technology-Medical Academic Discipline Award).

University of Delaware, Newark DE

• Taylor Remme of Newington has been named to the University of Delaware's Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT
