Need to safely dispose of sensitive documents, old checks, tax records, bills, account statements, receipts and other confidential documents?
Free secure paper shredding on Saturday, September 25th from 9:00 am – 12 pm, or until the truck is full! The event will be held in the Newington Town Hall, 200 Garfield Street in the west parking lot.

Newington residents are invited to bring up to 3 banker boxes (10.5” x 15” x 12”), located in a trunk or rear unoccupied seat. All documents should be free of binder clips, paperclips or binder covers. All boxes will be returned to the resident for recycling. Please, not bring documents in plastic bags.
COVID 19 precautions = no contact service! All you have to do is pull up and masked volunteers will be there to greet you and put your documents in the bin to be securely shredded on-site. Quick, easy and no-contact service!
Place all documents in file boxes.
Do not bring documents loose in bags; they must be placed in boxes ready for shredding.
Do not tape the lid on top of the file boxes.
You will be able to watch your documents being shredded.
No more than 3 boxes per resident.
Boxes will be returned to residents for recycling.
