How Newington High School Teams Are Faring This Fall

NEWINGTON, CT — As the fall sports regular season begins to enter the homestretch, anticipation is building at Newington High School toward the goal of qualifying for CIAC tournament competition.

One Indian team has already locked up a postseason berth, with another having an excellent chance to qualify as well.

Here is a look at the records for Newington varsity teams through Oct. 15. Teams listed in bold print have already clinched a tournament spot; the number in parentheses signifies the number of regular season games remaining. (NOTE: the CIAC does not post team records for boys cross country, girls cross country or girls swimming on its web site).
