LETTER: Why I'm Voting for Paul Doyle for State Senator

Opinions expressed are those of the letter writer and do not necessarily reflect the views of Patch Media. Opposing viewpoints are welcomed.

Five years ago, my husband John suffered an unforeseen illness and was left predominantly wheelchair bound with limited ability to communicate. My kids and I have been catapulted into a "new normal" as the dreaded saying goes.

I didn't know Paul Doyle at the time, despite the fact that we share the same last name, but I reached out to his Senate office in the hope that he could help me navigate some of the state's bureaucracy.

Since then, Paul has become not only a friend, but a godsend. I'm really not sure what we would have done without him. He has been selfless in offering his advice and counsel and is the very definition of a true public servant.

I can't envision that there's anyone better to represent our district at the state Capitol. I hope you'll join me in voting for Paul Doyle on Nov. 8th. His character speaks volumes.
