Man Charged In Newington Gun Shop Burglary: Police
A man was charged with ramming his SUV into a gun shop, then stealing guns and fleeing on foot, according to police.
NEWINGTON, CT — A man has been charged with ramming his car into a gun shop and stealing five guns, according to Newington police. Troy Harris, 27, was charged with five counts of stealing a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, third-degree larceny, two counts of first-degree criminal mischief, and third-degree burglary.
According to police, Harris crashed a Nissan Rogue through the front doors of Hoffman's Guns on Sept. 7 and stole five handguns before fleeing on foot.
His bond was set at $500,000. Harris was scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court on Tuesday.
