James Madison University, Harrisonburg VA

• James Madison University is pleased to announce Newington resident Austin Zachary Hurwitz has been named to the dean's list for the fall 2017 semester. Students who earn dean's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899. Hurwitz is majoring in Sport & Rec Management.

Marist College, Poughkeepsie NY

• Three students from Newington have been named to the Marist College Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester: Timothy Hoang, a member of the Class of 2020 majoring in Computer Science; Daniel Roberts, a member of the Class of 2019 majoring in Business Administration; and Derin Yetil, a member of the Class of 2021 majoring in History.

Sacred Heart University, Fairfield CT

• Erica Condon, a sophomore at Sacred Heart University, has made the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester. She is also a member of the SHU Division 1 cheerleading team, which placed sixth at a national competition in Orlando, Fla. in January.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

• CORRECTION of a recent Dean's List story that included some incorrect student names and did not include first-year students who made our Dean's List.
