Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Western New England University congratulates 734 students named to the fall 2017-2018 Dean's List. Students are named to the Dean's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher.
  Honorees from Newington are Andrew Deguzis, majoring in Actuarial Science; Jordan Massini, majoring in Exploratory; and Marissa Veilleux, majoring in Criminal Justice.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• David Giangrave of Newington, a member of the class of 2019 majoring in interactive media and game development at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, was a member of a student team that recently completed an intense, hands-on research through the WPI project center in Hangzhou, China. The project was titled Measuring Green Space Efficacy in Hangzhou, China.
